Bannerdale Climate Champs are a small group of neighbours who want to take action on the climate and nature crisis.

One of their first activities has been to run a ‘recycling café’ every month where people are invited to someone’s house for coffee, chat and to bring their along selected inconvenient-to-recycle items which are then collected together and taken by a group member to an appropriate collection point.

So far these items have included tetrapacks, batteries, contact lens cases, small electrical items and spectacles.
