One of Upper Don Community Energy Group’s aims is to support people in fuel poverty through their ‘Community Warming Project’ .

They have sourced funding to buy a Thermal Imaging Camera and offer a free survey to households. This includes the provision and even installation of basic insulation measures such as draught excluders, insulating tape, LED bulbs and door curtains.

They have held community events at which they have made, repaired or adjusted thick curtains, particularly for doors and have accredited volunteers willing and able to fit these.
