Climate Science and Engineering Solutions – for non scientists
The climate crisis is real – but there are solutions too. Join us to hear the evidence (and not the spin) Everyone welcome.
About this event
Our speaker, John Grant, will be explaining the basics of climate science, describing the role of bodies like the United Nations in finding a global consensus (heard of the IPCC report?) and speaking about engineering solutions to these issues.
John is a Senior Lecturer in the Natural and Built Environment at Sheffield Hallam University and is also a regular commentator on sustainability issues on broadcast news programmes.
Doors will open at 7pm with the talk starting at 7:15pm. Talk and discussion will finish by 8:30.
This event is part of Greenhill’s Great Big Green Week, co-ordinated by local environment network Greener Greenhill. For details of the full programme see https://greenhill-library.org/gbgw/
