A community garden tended by volunteers on previously mown ‘turf desert’ to improve the diversity of food and habitat for bees and other pollinators and reconnect people, especially children, with nature. We have wildflowers, spring bulbs, long grass, a diverse hedge and free-to-pick currants and herbs, along with bug hotels, a rainwater butt and a “happy to chat” bench.
