They have the power, and the responsibility, to bring about the far-reaching changes that are needed – from replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, investing in green technology, to decarbonising industry. The decisions they take about the environment, roads, public transport, waste and recycling, air quality and energy efficient homes will determine our future.
Campaigning on the issues that matter helps to show decision-makers that there is widespread support for change. When you add your name to a petition, write a letter, or join a protest, you are making your voice heard.
