Volunteer Coordinator and Engagement Worker​

An exciting opportunity – GCA is looking to recruit a volunteer coordinator to re-set up its volunteer programme to engage local people in its environmental and wellbeing activities; a beautiful allotment food growing project, a community tool bank and environmental clearance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and running a comprehensive volunteer programme.

GCA is an experienced environmental charity, providing activities in food growing, environmental education, reducing waste and encouraging sustainable lifestyles. Our projects have included amongst other things, – a community allotment: a diverse and supportive weekly gardening group, parent & toddlers and school sessions; and a community Toolbank, hiring out low cost DIY and gardening tools.

The post is fully funded for the first 6 months, with part funding secured for the following half year. Funding to increase the period of work is being sought.
